My friend Jen introduced me to the Date Shake. It’s sweet, low in fat and delicious. I adapted the recipe by adding extra protein and a few strawberries. This is so easy to make! I also like to take the leftovers and freeze it. Then scoop it out like ice-cream the next day. Yum!
Date Protein Shake Recipe:
1 cup cold, unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup Pitted Dates, I get mine at Trader Joe’s
1 1/2 medium frozen bananas
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Makes 2 adult portions or 4 kid portions. Tip:sometimes I add unsweetened coconut flakes and a handful of strawberries to mine. Also, if you need extra protein (hello macros!) add and extra 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder.
