New Year Intentions

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday, celebrating with friends and family or at least taking a really good nap;). The start of a new year is always a great time to reflect on what you want for yourself moving forward. I wrote a post on my favorite ARM WORKOUT, as health and fitness is a top resolution made by Americans each year. I also let you know January will be filled with lots of healthy living posts, so check back often.

I’m not big on resolutions. I guess if I were to make a 2018 New Year resolution, it would be the same as it’s been the past decade: to live a life I’m proud of.

I shared in this POST  that I love to journal and really want this space to be more of that for my family.

There is one thing that’s been nagging at me and I do want to make clear, we are not a perfect family. I get comments and DM’s from readers asking for advice on being a mom and how my kids and I get along so great. The truth is we are flawed (I guess I should speak for myself and say I am flawed;)).

I’m sure I yell as much as any mom does. I have insecurities. Some nights my fears keep me up worrying about things out of my control. I ground my kids and there are many days when I don’t think they like me very much. We are a normal family, living the ebb and flow of family matters, just like you. I guess I just don’t ever want anyone to read this site or look at Instagram and compare or think we have life all figured out.

Going back to my “resolution” of living a life I’m proud of. Despite my flaws, I am proud. I’m proud that every day I want to be better, do better, live better. I’m proud that I love my newborn as much as I do teenagers who talk back to me;) I have a great life. I have so much to be grateful for and I am, grateful.

Life is far from simple. There are so many layers to each of us and our stories. Those layers are what make us each unique. I think that’s pretty cool! I appreciate all of you for being here. Thank you for reading the site and watching our videos. I hope we can inspire each other to LIVE A LIFE WE’RE PROUD OF.
