Living in the beach town of Encinitas we understand the importance of protecting our ocean. The kids participate in ocean projects educating them on the harmful effects plastic and other garbage have on sea life. My kids love the beach and feel fortunate to live close to the water. Because of this, we take pride in keeping our beaches clean! Ever since we moved to California 6 years ago, we make it a point to bring a trash bag to the beach and clean up any trash we see, along with our own.
Goldie is especially fond of this activity! Last year she had a school assignment on beach etiquette. Her top 3 suggestions for a great beach day: 1. Don’t throw sand. 2. Don’t walk on someone else’s towel. 3 Throw away your trash. Haha, funny how she is guilty of the first two every time we go..;)
Sustainable Activewear – Eco Friendly
Have you heard of Girlfriend Collective? Oh my gosh, it’s such a rad company! Sustainable fitness gear made from recycled plastic and fishing nets…for real! When I told the kids about this line, they thought the clothes would for sure be itchy and stiff. They were wrong, so so wrong! This line of athletic wear for women is incredibly soft, fits so well and it’s flattering. We are all super impressed!
Avery and Poppy wear a XS in both TOPS and BOTTOMS, and all three girls are wearing XXS in the tees. I wear a small in the BRA and a XS TEE. I am wearing a XS in the tights, but could also do a small. The compression bottoms hold you in with great support and so do the bras. I’m serious, you will LOVE Girlfriend Collective!
