Gingerbread Houses with Big Chewy NERDS & CRUNCH Dark Jingles

About a month ago the team behind Big Chewy NERDS & CRUNCH Dark Jingles reached out to partner on a holiday post. Chewy NERDS happen to be a favorite among Jeff and the kids, so it was a definite yes!

We love to make gingerbread houses during the holidays. It seems to be one of the few festive activities Avery and Poppy still get excited about. That being said, I knew we could use the CRUNCH jingles and NERDS along with other candy from Ferrara to decorate the gingerbread houses!

After years of assembling gingerbread houses with the roof sliding off or sides collapsing we figured out a really useful trick: hot glue your house together! Haha, I’m serious. Two reasons: no one ever actually eats the hard cardboard store-bought house anyway, right? It’s the candy that we love to eat! Second, it’s so fast to assemble your house structure, you’ll be ready to decorate with icing and candy in less than 5 minutes!

The girls like to lay out all the candy so they have a better view when creating their design. Ozzy and I like when they lay it all out too, so we can eat while they decorate;).

The best part of making gingerbread houses is seeing what they girls create while being together!

How cute are the Big Chewy NERDS Reindeer Hangers?! They fit perfectly on a stocking making it a great edition to any stocking stuffer. You can also attach a gift card to the back for teacher gifts! I love them!

I want to see your gingerbread houses! Tag me on Instagram @lisa_allen and show us what you create using your favorite candy!
