Blazers can be intimidating items of clothing! They’re mostly styled for professional, business-like outfits, but have slowly made their way into everyday fashion. So many brands are selling amazing blazers right now, and I want to teach you how you can wear a blazer outside of the office.
There are so several ways to style them aside from the basic businesswoman. Blazers are awesome layering pieces. I love the symmetry and fit of blazers! With the slightest adjustments, you can style blazers for work or play.
HOW TO DRESS DOWN A BLAZER
One of the best, most basic ways to style a blazer is with an everyday t-shirt, denim & tennies!
You can wear a GRAPHIC or SOLID TEE and ‘french tuck’ the front into a pair of jeans! I’ll wear a LIGHT WASHED pair with a skinnier fit and a frayed hem. I’ll add some GOLDEN GOOSE, VANS or CONVERSE. The best kind of blazer to pair with this outfit would be one with a fun PRINT (such as plaid) or one with a fun solid color!
Another great way to casually style a BLAZER is to add it to a maxi dress!
Wearing a FLOWY MAXI DRESS with some tennis shoes or sandals can tone down the business-like feel of a blazer. Roll up the sleeves, add some STACKED BRACELETS and wear your favorite SUNGLASSES! This is an awesome outfit for casual meetings, lunch with friends or date night!
QUARTER SLEEVE blazers are great casual pieces for any wardrobe as well. They don’t look as professional as some blazers and look great with the right accessories & a clutch!
You can also pair SKIRT with a blazer!
Tennis shoes, sandals or flats make the outfit appear more casual. If you’re wearing casual shoes, add a CUTE BLOUSE! If you’re wearing a casual T-SHIRT, add a pair of WEDGES!
