Having four daughters, we’ve gone through several stages of hair styles. From newborn to about age 4 they allowed me to do their hair for them. Knots, buns, pigtails, simple braids..if I knew how, they wore it. Once my kids hit school age, they seemed to care less about brushing their hair and having it done each morning. Avery and Poppy grew out of the tangled hair look around 5th grade, thankfully. Goldie however, is smack dab in the middle of it! Most days we compromise with a 30 second topknot.
I’ve found this is the easiest to hairstyle accomplish with the kids. They don’t have to have perfectly brushed and styled hair, in fact the topknot holds better when it is a bit messy.
WHAT YOU NEED TO CREATE A TOPKNOT
- SCUNCI HAIR ELASTICS – I love these, because they don’t break like others I’ve tried.
- SCUNCI BOBBY PINS– We use the light gold color. It blends in with my kids hair best.
- SCUNCI SCRUNCHIE – It’s baaaaaaack…the scrunchie is a huge trend among teens and kids right now.
- HAIRSPRAY – I have two I use regularly. DRYBAR & GOLDWELL

Like I said above, the SCRUNCHIE is back in a big way! My kids love the way they look. I love that I can wear my hair in a loose pony or bun to sleep in and I don’t wake up with a crease in my hair! This helps make my BEACH WAVE CURLS last an extra couple of days and prevent my hair from breaking off!
