Weekly Update + New Arrivals Under $100

You know the saying “the days are long, but the years are short”? I actually think the days are short, the weeks fly by and the each year feels like maybe six month’s. This could be because we are in the thick of things with both Jeff and I growing separate businesses, 4 kids all going in different directions each day and we’ve been renovating our home the past two years with another year + of work left to do. Yep, after writing that out, that is for sure why time keeps passing by and I’m writing 2016 as the date on a form last week (really, I did…:|)

JEFF- Jeff’s grandma passed away last week and will be heading to Arizona this weekend for the funeral. It’ll be a quick 48 hour trip. It’ll be nice to be there, see family and honor his grandmother. If you saw on story earlier this week Jeff is working on developing a product to treat wood properly at home. One for interior and one for exterior with a UV protectant. Pretty cool.

ME – It has now been one month since I caught that terrible virus that went around. I feel fine, but my sinuses never cleared up. Weird? Like a month later and I still can’t breathe out the left side of my nose and my voice still isn’t back to normal. Like it’s extra low and monotone from my normal low and monotone.:) I did get back into a regular gym schedule and I can’t tell you how much I missed it. Working out at the same time each morning is what helps me stay on track. My head is clear when I leave and my day is far more productive. Side note: you know my favorite CONCEALER I talk about? Now they make a FOUNDATION! I have not seen it in stores yet, but once I do I will let you know how it is.

AVERY & POPPY – I’m putting them in the same paragraph because their week is pretty much the same: field hockey every day, school together, arguing on their way out the door at 7am, arguing the moment they walk in the door from school or practice, both wanting to start lacrosse and on the same team and both not wanting the other to do it…(insert lots of swear words in my head listening to this irrational banter) I’m telling you teens are like a roller coaster ride you can’t get off of, highs and lows all within minutes of each other.

GOLDIE – if you saw on story Sunday, Goldie sang in church with a few other girls her age. They sang a 3 verse song she only knew the first verse of..let me tell you, Goldie gives one hell of a lip sync performance! Currently practicing for her school performance on Friday about ancestors.

OZZY- Standing unassisted for up to 20 seconds. No front teeth in sight, the fangs are here to stay for a bit, haha. I’ve talked about this before, she has a clogged tear duct, or at least that’s what they’ve been saying since birth. It keeps getting worse. Her eye is sealed shut after every nap/sleep, it’s swollen and red/irritated. Two different pediatricians have seen her for this and both say she’ll outgrow it, one prescribed her some medicated drops. The drops seemed to make it worse so they’ve referred us to a pediatric ophthalmologist. I’m hopeful they’ll have a better answer for us. Until then, she’ll look like a little pirate after naps with one closed eye and her fang smile:) Gah, she so dang cute!
