Oversized pieces are a favorite to style in all seasons! In the winter, I love wearing oversized jackets, coats and sweaters. I follow a few tips and tricks when styling oversized clothing pieces. There’s no right or wrong way to wear them, but I love working alongside a few guidelines to always give me the best result.
How To Wear An Oversized Jacket
- Wear an oversized jacket alone! Instead of layering with pieces underneath, just wear your oversized jacket as your top! It looks so cute to button up a denim jacket all the way to the top. Take the layering out of the equation for a simple, oversized look.
- If you’re going to layer, layer with tighterr pieces! I love wearing henleys under oversized jackets. The contrast between fitting and oversized is very flattering!
- Whenever I wear an oversized jacket, I wear a slimmer bottom. You can never go wrong with a chunky jacket and a good pair of skinny jeans!
- Chunky boots or shoes! I think an oversized jacket, skinny jeans & chunky boots make such a cute winter outfit! It’s easy to style and so versatile!
