WEEKLY UPDATE | FOUR SEASONS STAYCATION

Happy Monday! We had such a great weekend as a family. We stayed at the Four Seasons Aviara, just down the street from us. The rain continued all weekend, but it didn’t stop us from going and making it a great trip. We were greeted by an in-room mock-tail bar with grapefruit juice, pop rock rimmed glasses, and cotton candy to go in our drinks. It was ADORABLE! The Four Seasons is known for going all out to ensure kids have a memorable experience. We also took a family Crust and Craft Class with the head chef, Connor Ball teaching us how to make pizza the right way. You guys, after this class I now know why my pizza dough wasn’t as light as I want…I was over kneading it! Little tips make all the difference and with all 3 meals we enjoyed at the chefs table, I asked a TON of questions! I love cooking. Hands down my favorite thing we ate in Seasons Kitchen was their polenta! Oh my goodness, the presentation was perfect and the flavors were the best I’ve had.

For years the Four Seasons Aviara was only available for guests to enjoy. As of now, they are open to the public! That means whether you’re local or visiting North County San Diego you can dine at their restaurant, take a cooking class or enjoy the spa. TAKE ADVANTAGE! We’ll for sure be back.

What’s NEW this week with the KIDS?

Avery: our little artist is always doodling and creating art around here. We’ve always known how talented she is, now I think she is realizing it. She is the only student selected from her middle school to have her painting featured in a high school art show! Well done, Ave!

Poppy: is currently dreading the upcoming puberty class at school. haha! They had it last year as well, and this year they will sit through a boy/girl class showing both the boy video as well as the girls. Listening to her and her friend in the back seat ” I swear they do this just to torture us. It’s so embarrassing. I’d rather dance with boys at Cotillion than learn about bodies in front of them” Me too, Poppy. Awkward…

Goldie: was a BIG fan of wearing robes and room service over the weekend. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, which Goldie was beyond excited to do her own laundry, wash dishes and take baths. Funny how that enthusiasm ended the moment we left our hotel. She’s also picked up new thing to say ” I can’t wait to get back in shape again” Oops, my fault.
