WEEKLY UPDATE
AVERY & POPPY – I’m putting them in the same paragraph because their week is pretty much the same: field hockey every day, school together, arguing on their way out the door at 7am, arguing the moment they walk in the door from school or practice, both wanting to start lacrosse and on the same team and both not wanting the other to do it…(insert lots of swear words in my head listening to this irrational banter) I’m telling you teens are like a roller coaster ride you can’t get off of, highs and lows all within minutes of each other.
GOLDIE – if you saw on story Sunday, Goldie sang in church with a few other girls her age. They sang a 3 verse song she only knew the first verse of..let me tell you, Goldie gives one hell of a lip sync performance! Currently practicing for her school performance on Friday about ancestors.
OZZY- Standing unassisted for up to 20 seconds. No front teeth in sight, the fangs are here to stay for a bit, haha. I’ve talked about this before, she has a clogged tear duct, or at least that’s what they’ve been saying since birth. It keeps getting worse. Her eye is sealed shut after every nap/sleep, it’s swollen and red/irritated. Two different pediatricians have seen her for this and both say she’ll outgrow it, one prescribed her some medicated drops. The drops seemed to make it worse so they’ve referred us to a pediatric ophthalmologist. I’m hopeful they’ll have a better answer for us. Until then, she’ll look like a little pirate after naps with one closed eye and her fang smile:) Gah, she so dang cute!

Oh, poor Ozzy and her eyes. My baby (16 mo) had clogged tear ducts from birth to one year. We were told at one year they’d do surgery to open it up if they didn’t open on their own. One side opened at 9 months and the other one right at a year. If I had a dollar for every time someone said, “Poor baby, she’s been crying!” and I had to tell them she had not been crying, I’d have a healthy stash of cash. Finally at one year I was able to see her beautiful lashes that weren’t stuck together.
Oh my gosh, I needed to hear this. I can’t tell you how many DM’s I get saying things like ” have you had her eyes checked?” ” does she have a lazy eye?” haha..ridiculous. Thanks for taking the time to respond and sharing your experience.

My daughter ( now 17) as an infant had the same issue for many months. I eventually got better and was totally gone by ten or eleven months. The doctors said the same thing about surgery so of course I was freaking out, but it literally just stopped happening little by little. It will clear up! If she has blue eyes it’s more common they say. My daughters eyes turned out a very very pale greenish blue , but were very blue as a baby. Hang in there!!
What size did you get in the floral top?
I bought a size 2. it’s supposed to fit loose and I think runs a bit big
