Hey guys, it’s Poppy. I’m back today to share makeup and beauty products for teens! I know my mom has mentioned before that I want to be a makeup artist when I grow up. Honestly, I love all types of makeup and especially love learning new techniques and ideas from YouTube. In addition, I love to create many different makeup looks with my sisters and my friends but I usually will only wear a few products everyday.
Age Appropriate Make-Up for Teens
Right now my favorite mascara is the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! I love this mascara because it can make my eyelashes very full and long without looking too clumpy or unnatural. What I normally do is apply the Tarte mascara on my top lashes and the MAC Extended Play GiGa Mascara on my bottom lashes. I do this because the MAC mascara has a much smaller applicator so its easier to not get any mascara under my eyes. Avery uses BIG SHOT or NYX PRIMER with LANCOME WATERPROOF.
The moisturizer Avery and I wear everyday and my mom also loves from her ANTI AGING SKINCARE is the PCA Skin, Clearskin moisturizer. We love this product because it is great for dry skin and also prevents acne. When I am looking for a good moisturizer I tend to stay away from anything that has a strong scent to it, this moisturizer has a very subtle scent. It just leaves your face feeling smooth, moisturized and fresh.
When we do use highlighter we love with the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Light Highlighter.
I use the shade “incandescent” I love this highlighter because is is very light and almost has a slighter warm pink tone to it but at the same time its very subtle. One of my favorite drugstore highlighters is the Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter this comes in a variety of shades and has the most amazing soft formula. Some of the best shades are the “Rose Gold” for lighter skin tones and the “Gold” for darker skin tones. Another great drugstore highlighter is this L’Oreal PALETTE.
My favorite concealer(if needed) at the moment is the Nars Radiant Concealer in the shade “Vanilla” this is a great brighting concealer but I would say its more of a light-medium coverage which I love because it never looks cakey. After I apply this will blend it in with Real Techniques Setting Brush and then go in with the Laura Geller Pressed Powder on the same brush. I only use a little bit of this to just set the concealer and prevent creasing. I have recently been trying out the Revolution Cosmetics Concealer and I think that it is an amazing drugstore concealer and is great for teens because it doesn’t feel to heavy on the skin and its only 7$. Avery has been using BO-ING by Benefit in the color light and loves it!
