How To Take A Compliment with Kopari

Why is it hard for many of us to accept a compliment? I was notorious in my 20’s for deflecting when on the receiving end of kind words from others. Why? I personally think my 20’s were filled with self doubt and uncertainty of who I was as a women, mother and wife. It wasn’t until my 30’s that I gained more confidence in who I had become as a person and learned to really take a compliment.

Here’s what I’ve learned: it’s easier and takes less time to say “thank you, I appreciate that” than it is to say “Oh gosh, no I don’t” or “I am not”. I promise, if you are trying to avoid more attention to whatever the compliment is, just say thank you! Done. The more you practice this, the easier it becomes.

One compliment I will gladly accept is on my skin. The reason being, with my background in esthetics and the amount of time and research I put into my skincare routine I am grateful other notice that my skin is healthy.

As you know, skincare is a huge part of my life! I was introduced to KOPARI products from co-founder Gigi Goldman about 2 years ago, here in San Diego. I immediately fell in love with their coconut oil based products, the packaging as well as the entire Kopari team. They are good people making great products that are safe for all skin types as well as those who are pregnant/nursing. That’s pretty major!

I just recently discovered a new one Kopari product I love, the CLEANSING OIL! Oh my, it’s SO SO good! My makeup literally melts off and easily rinses away any residue. You’ll love it! I also love to use this oil when doing a facial massage with this MASSAGE TOOL. The combination feels incredible, reduces inflammation and helps tighten your face. A common misconception is that oils are only good for dry skin. The truth is, they are safe for all skin types, even oily skin! Oil dissolves oil and helps regulate excess oil production.

A Kopari product I have loved for a couple of years is the ROSE TONER! I keep this in my beach bag, it’s the ultimate refresher for your skin. Ahh, I love!

Kopari also makes a great FACE CREAM that I personally like to use on my neck and chest! A common mistake I see women make is to put all the focus on the face and often forget that their neck, chest and hands all start to show signs of age in their 30’s/40’s. Do yourself a favor, whatever you use on your face, take it all the way down to your chest!

You have heard me rave about the Kopari DEODORANT for a few months now. It’s aluminum free, which is a pretty big deal. Even men love this deodorant! I talked about it in this BEAUTY MUSTHAVES post, a PRODUCT TESTING post, and WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG.

I think my two all time favorite Kopari products are: BODY GLOW and BODY MILK! Like, I LOVE! The Body Glow is the most perfect sheen of color. It doesn’t transfer onto my clothes and just looks so pretty on! I find Avery taking this from the hall closet all the time. She needs her own bottle at this point. Body Milk smells like a coconut dream!

If you are a self tanning junkie like myself, the COCONUT SCRUB is essential. It even reviewed an Allure Magazine Top Product seal of approval.

I received so many questions the other day on what Avery’s lip color was in THIS post. Well, it’s the Kopari TINTED COCONUT GLOSS.
