Sunflower Butter by SunButter with Goldie

Did you know Goldie hasn’t touched any nut butters in 4 years? When she was little she wanted peanut everything, everyday. She loved pb toast, peanut butter & jelly, pb granola bars, cereal, etc. She LOVES peanut butter. Then one day after pre-school she complained she couldn’t swallow very well while eating a pb&j. I assumed she was getting sick or being dramatic. The next day, the same thing happened. The day after still requesting peanut butter and me not thinking her throat was related to an allergy, her throat closed up and she couldn’t breathe very well. I took her straight the doctor and they let me know Goldie was allergic to peanuts.

We are very lucky her allergy is not severe. In fact, the doctor says she can easily grow out of this allergy. Even though she was told her allergy is only peanut related, we have been too nervous to give her any nuts.

Then…I started reading more about SunButter!
